Marriage was once considered to very sacred and pure form of relationship and institution. It was not only considered to be a bond between a Man and a Woman, but two different families. However, involvement of Law, modernization, and desires of some handful people on earth have turned into the business of money extortion, false cases, parental alienation. Men raised their voice for the women suffering in marriage and supported them. Govt. on the other hand helped women with all possible laws, schemes, reservations in education and for job.
Empowered women started misusing law and made it a weapon against Man, especially Husband. IPC 498a, 354 are one of the most misused sections against husband and his family. The motive behind filing false case is to harass husband, force him to commit suicide, extortion of money in the name of settlement, blame husband to showcase wife’s false innocence and many a times to make an extra marital affair. However, we see a great negligence on these points when it comes to society. This has already damaged marriage institutions a lot irrespective of religion. Divorce rates, male suicide, false cases & issues like parental alienation are increasing year by year.
Above discussed tools were not enough to terrorize men and their family, and the feminists came up with the new and inventive idea of Marital Rape. Sounds little contradictory, that how can a Man (husband) can rape his own wife. But feminists have already filed petition in Delhi High Court, and petition has been accepted and arguments are on going these days. Law of Marital Rape is such that a Man will go behind the bars even if he is very innocent, just like how it worked in early years of 498a IPC. The family values are getting diluted day by day and so is the family. The laws are not saving, securing family but are destroying it.
The law makers are not thinking about the adverse effects of these laws in the society and family. The people misusing it will continue to use such laws for their misdeeds. Unfortunately, not the courts nor the govt is taking any actions against such crime and are continuously appreciating a specific gender in the name of women empowerment.
Social Media users have spoken against this law and the existing Gender Biased Law and called for #MarriageStrike. The idea behind this was to display an outrage among men regarding the existing Gender Biased Law which are completely in favor of Women even if she is Guilty. As we have mentioned in our earlier articles, our law needs a big-time reforms and changes to make it Neutral for every citizen and to serve Justice to the Innocent.
