Marriage, a sacred relation between two people and their family. This was the main concept behind a marriage earlier. Now a days things have changed a lot including the Dowry Custom. Hardly any family is asking for dowry these days. However, the Gender Biased Law are made such that a Girl can go to the Police Station or Dial 100 and lodge a false dowry case without submitting any evidence. The police department is compelled to write the complaint under the women protection provision made and many a times it happens that we see involvement of police personnel behind filing a false case.
For a reputed family, a single sentence by a girl “main tumpe tumhare pariwaar par dahej ke aur maar peet ke case kar dungi” becomes a hectic challenge. Many a times, they try to approach the concerned departments like police station and women commission however, they don’t entertain the complaint from boys’ family or relatives. It’s a bitter truth that there is no protection ACTS or LAWS for MEN and their family due to which the complaints go unheard. Similar, situation took place in Sonipat, Haryana few days before.
When a family finds no way out and their reputation in danger, they find only one way and that is to Quit and opt for suicide.
We do not support such actions however, we want people to think and act on a matter that whatever is happening in the name of Women Empowerment and Feminism, is it right? Are we not ignoring other gender while empowering one? Why are women not held accountable for such crimes where abetment for suicide is considered as Murder in other scenarios?
