Shane Lewis-Rest In Peace Brother. Shane Lewis Was Sexually Abused.

Shane Lewis, who was an Australian swimmer left the world this year on February 21, 2021, after committing suicide. But his family believes that it was not a suicide and at that time, the cause of his death was declared as overdose of  prescribed drug at the age of 47.

Recently ABC in a report interviewed many other co-athletes of Lewis. They're seen describing the horror Shane had gone through.

In February, the swimming community was rocked when Shane Lewis died unexpectedly. In the wake of his death, it emerged that Lewis was allegedly sexually abused as a child by an elite swimming coach. This is exactly how most men hide their emotions. Men struggle to share their emotions with others because society always judges them. And thanks to Feminism, women all around the world have successfully stereotyped sexual abuse where a man is always the abuser & the victim is always a woman. There is literally no support system available for men suffering from such abuses.

Like other men, Shane was also battling demons all by himself. So his family may be right here that he didn't commit suicide. Maybe be he died because of the overdose of the medicine which was prescribed to him which he thought would give him some peace.

All over the world suicide is the largest emerging problem in men but still, no substantial support system is provided by the government. Few private NGOs are running helpline numbers & shelter homes for men without any financial support and with lot of difficulties. Whereas there's thousands of such service providing NGOs available for women all around the world. A single unfortunate incident with women may lead to the policy change of an entire nation but millions of men are dying every year and there is no one at the political level to utter even a single word of condolences.

Conclusion

Society has failed men so expecting help from them should be considered as crime. Men themselves will have to stand up for their fellow brothers. Do whatever they can. Make their presence public to make other male victims aware that there are still some of us who care about them.
