There are few takeaways here,
- A man is not considered as a family member of the wife's family neither legally nor socially.
- Never spend a single penny buying property for your in-laws or in any kind of financial aid for them.
- A man should never trust a women's word & leave his parents to shift with his in-laws.
- When a wife leaves her parental home & moves into her husband's home, she has a full legal right to his property as well as his ancestral property. Courts will make sure her rights are not violated. But the opposite of this scenario isn't true as one can see in the judgment.
Leaving aside the legal standpoint, this mindset has always been there that son-in-law is not a member of the family of the wife. For centuries men are seen as cash cows.
The simple understanding is when you pay for something that thing becomes your or you get some ownership of that thing depending on the price you paid. But if there's a woman involved in the matter, even god can betray you.
Notice something on this photo above?
The only thing a man can expect from honorable courts is an acknowledgment of cruelty done to him but no punishment for the abuser. In fact, in such cases where the abuser is a woman, she's rewarded for her crime.
Feminists will always blabber about equality without any hesitation because deep down they know that society, laws & the judiciary will never apply the same standards on them which are applied to men.
Conclusion
Never buy property or invest in properties of your in-laws if you're living in a country like India. Keep your money in undisclosed locations(after paying your due taxes).
